It doesn't have to be anything special, think about a friend's birthday coming up, check out some pics a friend posted of a recent trip or their child's first day of school.

Let the happiness of others spur you on to your own happiness and it may take a little effort now and then, but, it's worth it.

I smile every day when I read about what friends are doing, whether it's Facebook, Twitter, a blog...doesn't matter, just brings happy thoughts about having friends that are important in my life.Louhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13491426270023314351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5006451.post-25659149383615700312011-08-18T05:23:50.648-04:002011-08-18T05:23:50.648-04:00That line is even better than Forrest Gump's s...That line is even better than Forrest Gump's saying about life and chocolate! I had a similar experience buying school supplies for Dillon, but I also had another realization: how happy I was when I was in school. I loved the routine, the consistency (two things I strangely resist). But since school started Tuesday -- even though Dillon is having a tough emotional transition -- I'm feeling pretty happy. Leaving the house early in the morning to head to school feels great! My point is, we lose a lot of stuff we love in our adult life and we don't even realize it. We can't put our finger on what's wrong. Until something reminds us.

Great post! Your first paragraph reminds me of something I've written in my book...
