Why I am not a rock star...

(besides basic lack of musical talent and drive)...

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

  1. Hmmm...that description could be any number of industries, really.

A long plastic hallway. Very astute.

  2. Oh? Who says you're not a rock star? Perhaps you merely feel no pressure to pander to the masses by singing on stage or playing an instrument...

  3. It's the stage...definitely the stage. I love to play my guitar and sing, but have no urge to go back to the days when I sweated and trembled in front of a packed house of 8 or 10 in a little coffee house with my acoustic Led Zeppelin and Cure covers.

Oh, and then there's the plastic hallway with the thieves and pimps. That's pretty scary.
