Easily pleased...
It's most often the little things in life that make me happy. My sweet pink aluminium Christmas tree decorated with tiny disco balls.
The cashmere scarf Michael gave me for my birthday last year that I am still in love with.
That I can still get completely lost in a book even after multiple comp lit classes and years as a critical editor.
And Aleigh reminded me how much I love to floss. Because of this thing.
So tell me, what are your "little things?"
I too am pleased by a twinkling Christmas tree -- but mine has to be real because there's nothing like that fresh-cut pine scent to make it really feel like the holidays.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...what else? I think mostly food. Hot chocolate when it's cold (or coffee, or tea...). Finishing a book and being sad because it's over. Snuggling with Murphy on the couch (I love it that I can use him as a pillow and he doesn't mind -- it's a rare quality in a dog). Painting my fingernails and toenails so they're all festive.
Oh -- and how could I forget? A BRAND NEW PAIR OF SHOES. I absolutely, positively love having a brand new pair of shoes.
hmmmm, do prescription drugs count? If not then Cold Beer, corn chips, college basketball, and hot Chicks.
